Andre Smith's Watercolor Dream

THE STORY

Jules Andre Smith & Walt Disney served the U.S. Army during WWI in Paris,
exhibited together at The Museum Of Modern Art in New York City,
purchased properties to build their artistic dreams in Florida,
and created organizations that nurture artists to this day.
This is that story. A strange tale of war, parallel crossing lives,
artistic drive, celebrity and one magical man!

The Art & History's Maitland Art Center was founded as an art colony in 1937 by visionary American artist and architect, André Smith (1880-1959).

Andre's legacy continues with gallery art exhibitions, professional artist's residency programs, art programming, and a strong curriculum of art instruction in an intimate atmosphere.

The Maitland Art Center is also a National Historic Landmark.
